The SF Market Update
Welcome September!
The world we live in right now is full of contradictory messages and data: How could we be in a recession (two consecutive quarters of negative GDP growth) with record high employment? Why do we have massive excess inventories at some retailers while supply chains are disrupted during Covid lockdowns? Why do building costs keep rising while lumber/commodity prices are sharply lower? All this conflicting, contradictory messaging and information is enough to make my head spin. Add into the mix thousands of conflicting opinions.
So what is one to do? I plan to listen to all the noise in the background but remain focused on the FOREGROUND. Life continues- marriages, divorces, babies, death, down-sizing, relocating- life events fuel our market and these never stop. There is opportunity in every market and especially in the Bay Area. I plan to keep smiling:)

Fun Local Events!

California reared, fine artist, Bryan Locke is a dedicated foot soldier in dogged pursuit of the celebration of his subjects at their zenith and most raw. His visceral approach has resulted in a body of work that summons both Robert Frank and Diane Arbus. “Hot Walker” shot over a four year period at Golden Gate fields is a labor of love that brings to light his unmistakable intuition at displaying humanity at its finest.

It is impossible to know how median and average value statistics apply to any particular home without a specific comparative market analysis.
These analyses were made in good faith with data from sources deemed reliable, but may contain errors and are subject to revision. It is not our intent to convince you of a particular position, but to attempt to provide straightforward data and analysis, so you can make your own informed decisions. Median and average statistics are enormous generalities: There are hundreds of different markets in San Francisco and the Bay Area, each with its own unique dynamics. Median prices and average dollar per square foot values can be and often are affected by other factors besides changes in fair market value. Longer term trends are much more meaningful than short-term.
