Vacation!! We just returned from a long overdue trip to the East Coast where we filled our hearts spending time in the sun with family and friends. (rare photo with me in it!)

The SF Market Update

“I skate to where the puck is going to be, not where it has been.” – Wayne Gretsky

As we listen to inflation numbers, see the stock market fluctuate, and hear about rising interest rates, it’s time to start thinking about where the market is going. While we cannot control the future, we can plan for it.

For sellers that may mean spending more money on property prep, anticipating a longer marketing period, or utilizing a transparent pricing strategy.

For buyers that may mean seizing an opportunity even if all the news is doom and gloom, getting a shorter term loan product, or planning to hold a property longer.

To conclude: San Francisco real estate remains a market of limited inventory so when you find a house you like, you buy it!  And, when life tells you it is time to sell, you prepare it well and it will sell!

The Sky Is Not Falling!

Our market is constantly shifting and right now numbers look very similar to summer 2019.

Eye on: Kitchen Design Trends

Are white cabinets finally going out of style? What does a double island look like? Should I use my countertop material as the backsplash? Who will clean all of this? These are the questions every homeowner asks when they are renovating their kitchen. Satisfying your personal taste and needs is most important, but keeping an eye on trends and resale value is worthwhile as well.

It is impossible to know how median and average value statistics apply to any particular home without a specific comparative market analysis.

These analyses were made in good faith with data from sources deemed reliable, but may contain errors and are subject to revision. It is not our intent to convince you of a particular position, but to attempt to provide straightforward data and analysis, so you can make your own informed decisions. Median and average statistics are enormous generalities: There are hundreds of different markets in San Francisco and the Bay Area, each with its own unique dynamics. Median prices and average dollar per square foot values can be and often are affected by other factors besides changes in fair market value. Longer term trends are much more meaningful than short-term.
